1 The Paducah Sun Thursday, January 4, 2007 OBITUARIES Dr. Patrick Hollowell Services for Dr. Patrick B. Hollowell, 38, of Spring Hill, formerly of Lone Oak, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Milner Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev.

Ken Morris officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Mr. Hollowell died Monday afternoon at his home. A 1986 graduate of Lone High School, he was a U.S.

Navy veteran and a member of The Peoples Church in Franklin, Tenn. Mr. Hollowell attended Murray State University and the University of Kentucky, and was a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He was a member of the American Dental Association and the Tennessee Association of Dentists. Surviving are his wife, Jamie Renee Kidd Hollowell; one daughter, Madeline Cruse Hollowell of Paducah; one son, Patrick B.

Hollowell II of Paducah; two stepdaughters, Payton Dillon of Paducah and Autumn Draffen of Spring Hill; his parents, James B. and Priscilla Pace Hollowell of Fairview Heights, one brother, Christopher Hollowell of Paducah; one stepgrandfather, Owen Lampley of Possum Trot; one niece; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William H. and Lottie Pace, James B. Hollowell and Reba Hollowell Lampley.

Joyce Lyn Dorr, 42, formerly of Paducah and Ames, Iowa, died Saturday at Norton Hospital. She is survived by two daughters, Aliceson Peppels and Adiceson Peppels; two brothers, Chuck Dorr of Paducah and Craig Dorr; and two sisters, Judy Dorr and Jayne Kragel. A memorial service will be later in Ames. Cremation Society of Kentucky is in charge of arrangements. Ann Richards County.

Mrs. Richards died at 5:51 p.m. Monday at Western Baptist Hospital. A native of Graves County, she was a nursing assistant at Parkview Nursing Rehabilitation Center and was a member of New Covenant Church. are her father, Ardie Speed of Symsonia; two daughters, Stephanie Burkhart of Paducah and Andrea Merrill of Las Vegas; one son, Kent Coplen of Glendora, two sisters, Marian Parson of Crown Point, and Resanda Robertson of Symsonia; and 12 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Wilma Cecil Vaughn, and -one brother. Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. Friday at the Lone Oak chapel of Milner Orr Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Rothwell officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Graves Deborah Vaughan MAYFIELD, Ky. Services for Deborah Ann Vaughan, 42, of Water Valley will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield.

Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Mrs. Vaughan died at 4 a.m. Tuesday at her home. She was a nurse technician and a member of Northside Baptist Church.

Surviving are husband of 25 years, David Vaughan; her mother, Rachel Alexander Yates of Mayfield; one daughter, Jennifer Vaughan Van-Sickle of Jacksonville, N.C.; one son, Zachary David Vaughan of Water Valley; three sisters, Patricia Garrigus, Janice Rettberg and Brenda Green, all of Mayfield; one brother, Bobby Yates of Mayfield; and one grandchild. Garland "Felix" Wilson, of Bradenton, died on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, in the home of his daughter, JoAnne L. Smith. Garland, the son of Eva and Carl Wilson, was born April 6, 1921, in Mayfield, Ky. He was 85 years of age.

Mr. Wilson retired after 38 years and 10 months of service to the people of the United States of America. He was a veteran of World War II and a survivor of Pearl Harbor, in communications, aboard the USS Phoenix. During his 20 years in the U.S. Navy, he was stationed in various locations around the world and, with his family, was able to enjoy traveling and living in other countries.

Following his retirement the U.S. Navy, Mr. Wilson served as a meteorologist for the Federal Aviation Administration at Washington National Airport (now Ronald Reagan National Airport) in Washington and, also, in Kentucky at Paducah Barkley Regional Airport and Bowling Green Warren County Regional Airport. As a licensed single engine pilot, he was eventually able to give his time as an instructor. A man of few words, "Felix" enjoyed golfing and, also, playing pool with his friends at Heather Hills Mobile Home Park where he did reside prior to his death.

Mr. Wilson was predeceased by his sisters, Nell Kinnard and Grace Chester. He was, also, predeceased by his daughter, Janeane L. Wilson. In Florida, he is survived by his daughter, Joanne L.

Smith; granddaughters, Deborah Smith and Julie Grindal; granddaughters, Lisa Wilson and Laura Russell (daughters of Janeane L. Wilson); and, also, four greatgrandchildren. In Kentucky, he is survived by his adopted daughter, Sherri Ballinger; two granddaughters, Beccy Malone Woody; and three great grandchildren. Cousins, Mary Virginia McAlister and Roberta Lyonhurst, reside in Mayfield. Nephews, George Chester and John Chester, reside in Tennessee.

Mr. Wilson is survived by extended family members as well. Cremation, with no service or viewing, was the wish of Mr. Wilson. Any memorials may be made to Tidwell Hospice at 3855 26th St.

West, Bradenton, FL 34205. Carolyn Susie Warford Carolyn Susie Warford, age 56, of Paducah passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, at 7:42 a.m. at Western Baptist Hospital. Mrs.

Warford was a. native of Dallas. She was of Cherokee descent and was a member of the Choctaw Indian Nation. Surviving are her son, Steven Wolfe of Oklahoma; one daughter, Monta Rene Vibbert of Paducah; Ollie Mae Eskridge METROPOLIS, Ill. Services for Ollie Mae Eskridge, 74, of Metropolis will be at noon Saturday at First Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member.

Bishop Charles Dunbar and the Rev. Phillip H. Farrow will officiate: Burial will be in Metropolis Masonic Cemetery. She retired from Elder-Beerman and Dillard's in Paducah. Surviving are her husband, William Robert Eskridge; four daughters, Marcia Williams of Atlanta, Rhonda Bradford and Stephanie Eskridge, both of Paducah, and Carroll Farrow of Milan: a son, Randy Eskridge of Metropolis; five sisters; five brothers; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother. Her parents were Clarence Henry and Frances Elizabeth Williams Dunbar. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church. Miller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Lourdes Hospice, P.O. Box 226, Metropolis, IL 62960. Leroy Jones Jr. CAIRO, Ill. Leroy Jones 60, of Cairo died Wednesday morning at Day Star Care Center.

A graduate of Sumner High School, Mr. Jones was a U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division veteran of the Vietnam War and a Purple Heart recipient. He was a print press operator in East Prairie, and also worked for the former Burkart Foam Co. and the Cairo Police Department.

Mr. Jones was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are two children, Lovie Coleman and Corey Coleman, both of Cairo; three stepchildren, Pamela Snow of San Diego and Vernita McAlister and Thomas Coleman, both of Cairo; one brother, Jimmy Jones of Paducah; and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Leroy Coleman. His parents were Leeroy Jones Sr.

and Lovie Jones. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Heavenly Gates Funeral home. Burial will be in Mound City National Cemetery. Friends may call after 9 a.m.

Friday at the funeral home. Robert Barham FULTON, Ky. Robert E. Barham, 82, of Fulton, formerly of Rockwood, died at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday at Haws Memorial Nursing Home.

A native of Hickman, Mr. Barham was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a sodsman with a landscaping company. Surviving are his wife, Mary Elizabeth Eskridge Barham; two daughters, Louise Barhamn of Greenville, and Deborah E. Smith of Union City, and three sons, William Lewis Barham and James Edward Barham, both of Indianapolis, and Robert Barham Jr.

of California. His parents were Elnora Paschall Atkins and Willie Barham. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in East View Cemetery in Union City.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Larry Lambert HENDERSON, Ky. Services for Larry Lambert, 61, of Corydon, brother Oneal Lambert of Paducah, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home with Eddy Berry officiating.

Mr. Lambert died at 5:29 a.m. Tuesday at Methodist Hospital. He was a member of Southland Baptist Temple in Paducah. Besides his brother, he is survived his wife of 41.

Tuesday at Mills Manor in Mayfield. She was a retired seamstress for Curlee Clothing Co. Surviving are three sons, Laddie Thomas of Mayfield, Robert Thomas of Lancaster and Fred Thomas of Louisville; four daughters, Jo Ann Aucter of Hartford, Peggy Riley of Mayfield, Angela Thomas of Murray and Teresa Thomas of Nashville, one sister, Glenda Gibson Crandall of Biloxi, 11 grandchildren; and nine greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph P. Thomas; one brother; and one sister.

Tuesday at Hardin County General Hospital. He was a retired carpenter and farmer and a member of First Apostolic Church and Carpenters Union Local No. Mr. Armstrong was a 1963 graduate of Rosiclare Community High School. Surviving are a sister, Linda Armstrong, and a brother, Ronnie Armstrong.

A native of Calloway County, she was a homemaker and attended Scotts Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Shirley Beane of Murray; one son, Jimmy Dan Jones of Murray; one sister, Barbara Copeland of Michigan; and one grandson, Chris Jones of Myrtle Beach, S.C. She was preceded in death by her husband, James U. Jones, and two brothers. Her parents were Euckley Cohoon and Siddie Outland Cohoon.

Bittle, 34, of Tamms, mounted Wednesday after he was pulled over near Irvin Cobb Drive and Brown Street, McCracken Sheriff Jon Hayden said. Deputy Jesse Riddle stopped Bittle at 1:11 a.m. because.

1 Bittle appeared to be under the influence, Hayden said. During questioning at the traffic stop, Riddle observed a plastic bag containing a white substance in Bittle's mouth, Hayden said. Bittle then attempted to run away and struggled with Riddle, who was assisted by two Paducah police officers also responding to the call. The bag and suspected cocaine were recovered from Bittle's mouth and drug paraphernalia was recovered from his car, Hayden said. Riddle and the officers suspected that Bittle had swallowed an unknown amount of drugs so he was taken to a hospital, where an X-ray revealed a crack cocaine smoking pipe hidden in Bittle's buttocks, Hayden said.

The pipe was recovered. Bittle remained in the hospital for observation Wednesday evening, Hayden said. After his release, Bittle will be charged with possession of cocaine, two counts of tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and driving with expired license plates, Hayden said. Callahan to become Eagle Scout Austin Callahan of Paducah will receive the Eagle Scout pin in a Court of Honor ceremony conducted by Boy Scout Troop 22 at 2 p.m. Saturday at Reidland Baptist Church.

Eagle candidates must earn 21 merit badges and complete a community service project. Callahan earned 28 badges under the direction of William Hall, scoutmaster. He completed his Eagle project at Reidland Baptist Church. With the help of fellow troop members and other volunteers, he did landscaping and installed signs marking the entry and exit to the church grounds. Callahan, 17, is a senior at Reidland High School.

He is the son of Sonya Hall Leeds of Tempe, and grandson of Jim and Mary Ann Adams of Paducah.
